"Elise Lenhart was who we needed during our difficult time. My mother passed and I wanted to have a memorial service to celebrate her life. I searched for an officiant or a funeral director to help us with the ceremony. I couldn’t find anyone who I felt would understand what we wanted. I reached out to a celebrant organization of NJ and they recommended Elise Lenhart. I spoke to Elise and during our first conversation she made me and my family feel at ease. We were emotional and she let us tell our story. She listened, asked questions and had us fill out a questionnaire so she could learn more about my mom. What I loved about Elise was that she asked questions and never assumed. When she gathered all her information she provided us with a script that she would use during the ceremony. The day before the ceremony my mom was cremated and Elise reached out to us to make sure we were okay. The day of the ceremony Elise came early to go over name pronunciation and to assure me that everything would be okay, and it was. She did not rush through the ceremony. She paced it and made us feel like she knew my mom. It was very comforting and the service was beautifully done. She contacted me a few days after the ceremony to see how the family was doing.
